Is this setting a confusing precedent? Don’t recall any talk of postponing any West Ham game when it was nearly impossible to reach LS.

Southern and Thameslink trains have been running between London and Brighton on all of the strikes days so far. Also between Brighton and Falmer. They're using that as an excuse to call the game off. Although recent events have since come in to play

Freshers tend to be delivered by their parents, by car.
The piss-up mostly starts after the parents have gone.

"Next weekend is freshers week at Brighton University and Sussex University"
Maybe the adulterous piss up that is freshers week should also be postponed as a mark of respect. What has that to do with car parking? theyre all out on the piss.

From Brighton & Hove Albion Supporters Club:
There is a little bit more to this that just the train strike.
Next weekend is freshers week at Brighton University and Sussex University. This is the one week in the year when the Universities don't allow the Albion to use their car parks.
So not only are there no trains, (they don't run replacement bus services during strikes) but there is no car parking either.
The Amex is heavily dependant on public transport. It has to be as part of the planning permission when the stadium was built 11 years ago. Something like 65% of people use the trains and buses, 20% use park and ride and 15% use the University car parking.
It was indeed awful when Sky TV moved the Brentford game to 8pm Boxing Day when there were no trains, but Brentford bussed all their fans (amazing) and The Albion created new park and rides from (closed) supermarket car parks elsewhere in the city at enormous cost.
Add to all this the fact its Crystal Palace next Saturday (a rivalry, not a derby) and I believe it is absolutely the right decision to postpone.

Rivals? They're only rivals with each other because no-one else would stoop so low as to have either of them as real rivals

Ironically the strikes have now been suspended as a mark of respect to the Queen.
Will the Brighton game be reinstated?

I would suspect a larger portion of travelling Palace fans would have opted to take the train simply because it's a few stops down the line, rather than the number of West Ham fans that would take the train to Everton (and, hopefully, back the same day).

Was it any other game aside from the Viborg one? I’m guessing thanks to UEFA that wasn’t postponed whereas the PL are maybe less cunty?
